Dear Cycling Enthusiast,
As you may or may not be aware, the British Pedal Car Championship is hosting the 11th running of the Shenington 24hr pedal car race in Shenington, Oxfordshire this June.
We are writing to reach out to cycling enthusiasts who may not be aware of the sport of pedal car racing but who may be intrigued as to what it is, where it takes place and ultimately how to get involved.
We dub our championship as the “most fun on 4 wheels” contested by teams made up of a mixture of cycling clubs, triathletes, youth groups, charity efforts, scout groups, fitness enthusiasts and collective cycling friends coming together for the ultimate competitive challenge, the 24hr race.
To give you an idea of what we are about, I have attached some introduction material, some information and imagery about what the sport is and a short video of one our our 2016 races in Berkshire.
We would love for you to contact us to find out more if you are interested and if you are up for the challenge in June, help get you on the grid!
We are always looking to welcome new teams into our community and whether you are looking to build, buy or rent a car, we have members of our committee available to provide more information and assistance every step of the way.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Rob Fulford (On behalf of the British Pedal Car Championship)
